II Peruvian Playwright Contest 2008
Tender 1) This contest is an event organized by the Cultural Center of the British Peruvian Cultural Association (hereinafter "Cultural Center") in order to promote the creation of original plays by Peruvian citizens.
2) Only may participate individually, people over 18 years and Peruvian nationality. Only be allowed one (1) work per entrant.
3) The work submitted by the entrant must be unpublished, in the Castilian language, and have not been submitted, selected and awarded in another competition (either as a play, screenplay, novel, story, etc..), Or represented or published in any medium, in any form, whatever that.
4) No works will be considered to have participated in the previous edition of this contest.

5) The work must be of one (1) act and should be represented by a maximum of six (6) actors. The work must have a minimum representation of sixty (60) minutes and a maximum representation of ninety (90) minutes.
6) The work can be of any genre except drama themed children, ie can not be a work for children.
7) The works will be received only on 05, 06, 07, 08 and May 9, 2008 at the Cultural Center (Jr. Bellavista 531, Miraflores) from 15:00 to 19:00.
8) Contestants must submit two (2) sealed envelopes. One must contain the original form of the work and three (3) copies. The second envelope must contain a personal data sheet the author (full name, ID number, mailing address, phone number and email). On the outside of each envelope must bear the title of the work and under the pseudonym of the author, they will not be considered. Work was also disqualified somehow revealing the identity of its author without considering the guidelines mentioned above.
9) The work must be submitted ringed printed A-4 formats in Word, font to Arial and size 12. On the cover of each issue should only include the title of the work and under the pseudonym of the author. The work does not meet these requirements will not be considered.
10) The jury evaluator will be appointed by the Cultural Center and will consist of an odd number of renowned professionals in theater and culture.
11) The jury will choose an appraiser (1) work as worthy of first prize, one (1) work as worthy of the second prize and one (1) work as worthy of the third prize. The jury evaluator may declare the second and third prize but not the first prize.
12) No paper copies will be returned (originals and copies) of works presented, with each contestant their respective copyrights.
13) To qualify for the respective prize, the author of the work described in the first relinquish their proprietary rights award to the Cultural Center for a period of one year, by signing a contract. The first prize consists of:
a) U.S. $ 2,000.00 (two thousand U.S. dollars) as the only financial compensation for the staging of the play.
b) The staging of the play, produced by the Cultural Center in 2009.
c) The publication of the work in 2009 together with works worthy of the second and third prize.
14) To qualify for the respective prize, the author of skilled labor with the second prize cede economic rights to the Cultural Center for a period of one year, by signing a contract. The second prize consists of:
a) U.S. $ 1,000.00 (one thousand U.S. dollars).
b) The publication of the work in 2009 together with works worthy of the first and third prize.
15) To qualify for the respective prize, the author of skilled labor with the third prize cede economic rights to the Cultural Center for a period of one year, by signing a contract. The third prize consists of:
a) U.S. $ 500.00 (five hundred U.S. dollars).
b) The publication of the work in 2009 together with works worthy of the first and second prize.
16) The jury will announce its decision final and binding on Monday July 21, 2008. The names of the winners will be published at the following website: www.britanico.edu.pe
17) The falsity of any of the literature data, as well as the kidnapping of some or all of the work, determine the disposal of the work presented.
18) when submitting their work, the bidder fully acknowledges these conditions and accept them in full. Any questions or vacuum in these rules shall be resolved by the Cultural Center without a claim or any appeal.

Bases 1. Open to all Peruvians over 18 years, residing in the country or abroad, with a story aimed at boys and girls between 6 and 10 years old, with freedom of subject and style, which have not been awarded in previous editions of the Biennale of Children's Story ICPNA.
2. The story should be written in English, be original and have not been awarded in other competitions.
3. Contestants may participate with one work.
4. The maximum length of the story is 35 pages in A4 format, single-sided, with double spacing, font Arial # 12.
5. The work must be submitted foliated, stapled and / or banded.
6. It delivered four copies of the story, nominated to pseudonym.
7. The consignment or delivery of the work will take place in a manila envelope, containing the four copies of the story, and another sealed envelope indicating on the outside of the pseudonym and the title of the work, and the inner sheet with the following information: User ID, full name of the author, ID number, age, literary history (if any), address, phone number and email.
8. The envelopes containing the names of contestants will be received from the publication of this notice until Saturday May 31, 2008 * and will be delivered in the Libraries of the sites of ICPNA or sent to:

9. The jury will be appointed by the ICPNA and consist of specialists in children's literature and literary critics.
10. The judges' ruling is final and published in June 2008 on our website.
11. The works that do not meet any of the terms stipulated in the rules will be automatically disqualified.
12. The contestants that are winners will be notified promptly by telephone or email.
13. The ICPNA award the following prizes: First Prize
: U.S. $ 1,500.00
Second Prize: U.S. $ 700.00
14. The jury may declare the contest and give honorable mentions to the finalists, as deemed appropriate.
15. The first award involves the publication of the winning story, under the auspices of the Santillana Group, under the label Alfaguara Infantil. Fifty copies of this edition will be awarded to the author, who will transfer all its rights in the first edition of his work.
16. The award ceremony will take place in July 2008.
17. The presentation of the work to this competition means acceptance of the bases by the authors. Any case not provided within them will be resolved at the discretion of the organizers.
18. Non-winning stories will be collected by presenting the coupon reception, from 01 to 18 July from 10:00 am to 06:00 pm in the Libraries (Av. Angamos West 120, Miraflores). After that date the works will be destroyed.
