Santanderes Node of the National Student and Related Literature (REDNEL Colombia) and the Cultural Department of the Universidad Industrial de Santander, invite the university community to participate in activities that are part of joint project called LEA .



  • Reading Workshop

The sessions will take place from the first half of 2011 (according to academic calendar UIS) on Monday from 3:00 to 18:00 in the Sala Jorge Zalamea. Free admission.

Santanderes Node of the National Student and Related Literature (REDNEL Colombia) and the Universidad Industrial de Santander, invite students, teachers and researchers to participate in the Symposium Estanislao Zuleta, that has as its general theme: "Globalization and memory", presenting their work to the areas proposed. The paper submission opens on February 15 and ends on May 20, 2011.

highlight the path of those who contributed significantly to the advancement of the academy and the training of generations committed to democratic values \u200b\u200bis an inescapable task of the institutions of this nature, par excellence including the university, since it includes the retrieval and updating of the proposals in due course turned out to be cutting edge and that even today, can illuminate the historical discourse in pursuit of the social construction of knowledge recognizing the national contribution a goal that is universal order and, therefore, shared.

is why Santanderes Node of the National Student and Related Literature (REDNEL) proposed Estanislao Zuleta Symposium on the main campus of the Universidad Industrial de Santander, academic event which will honor the life and work of one of the most notorious and controversial intellectuals of Colombian Academy for their contributions to the social sciences, in fields such as sociology, political science, psychoanalysis, literary studies, economic and philosophical, further recognizing its role as advisor to the United Nations and Colombian governments.

Allowing
with it a judicious review and dissemination of their ideas at a time when their consideration is overwhelmingly present, then, although it has been more than 20 years after his death, remains a benchmark widely reported and quoted learned institutions in the country and has been ranked the most prominent Colombian thinker of the twentieth century.


Objectives

1. Pay tribute to the memory of one of the most remarkable intellectuals of the twentieth century

2. Joint opportunities for discussion about the academic progress in relation to the contributions of renowned scholars at the national level, strengthening the discussion, dissemination and appreciation of democratic values \u200b\u200band solidarity.

3. Promoting a culture of participation, critical and aware of the historical passage covered in the academic and exegesis.

4. Closer links between the nodes REDNEL generated around the country with the institutions concerned in the fields of arts, humanities and social sciences

1. All persons wishing to attend the Symposium Estanislao Zuleta should submit, by August 1, 2011, mail to simposioez@gmail.com, specifying the issue with the ASSISTANT word, with the following information:

Information contact information (phone, address, city, e-mail)

Note: All people who register and attend over 70% of the scheduled sessions will be presented with a certificate of participation in the Symposium.

2. May participate with papers of all those studying literature, philosophy, education and related areas in Colombia and the world.

3. Proposals must be within the topics mentioned in this call, however, the organizing committee will take into account texts dealing with any other related topic.

4. The authorship of the papers will be individual or group is preferably oral exposure, however, the paper will be evaluated in written form.

5. Each presenter will have twenty (20) minutes and may use audiovisual resources it required.

6. The deadline for receipt of papers is May 20, 2011 and will be sending the following email address: simposioez@gmail.com , specifying the matter with the word rapporteur.

7. In the first sheet of paper (front) should include the following information, in this order:

8. Papers must not be less than 8 nor more than 10 pages (excluding bibliography and title page), letter-sized single-sided, written in Arial 12, double space in Microsoft Word format. The works cited or references, follow the APA rules.

Note: Please avoid all caps, bold type, colors and other decorations in typography.

9. The list of accepted papers will be published on 30 June and will be sent respective letter of invitation to the event to the authors of selected works that advance the efforts they deem relevant to their assistance.

10. Upon presentation of the paper, each speaker will deliver a CD with a copy of the file and another copy sent to the moderator. REDNEL Colombia reserves the rights for a period of one year for publication by any of the papers accepted and presented at the Symposium Estanislao Zuleta. Published after the author's rights to have the commitment to include the edition made by REDNEL.
