Cultural Center of Spain and the CEDILI-IBBY-PERU, as part of the celebration of the International Children's Book Day, sponsored by Grupo Santillana, organize three major events: 1) First National Children's Literature "Carlota Carvallo de Núñez."
Objectives: Promote the publication of illustrated children's fiction. Directed
illustrators and / or writers to 45 years old. Call
Date: May 10. Maturity July 31.
Award Date September 23. Spring Day.
Prize: 2.000 U.S. $ (Two thousand dollars) and publication of the winning work by the Grupo Santillana.
2) First Prize Reading Promotion: Lima and provinces.
Objective: The stimulus to encourage reading, being done by citizen initiative.
To: Municipal Library, Library Network Communal Institutions Primary education and secondary schools, cultural centers and other institutions that carry out work with the community.
Call Date: June 24. Term, 15 September.
Award Date: October 24, International Day of the Public Library.
Prize: 2.000 U.S. $ and module library of 200 books of Grupo Santillana.
3) First Contest Youth Literary Blogs.
Objective: The motivation for elementary and high school students to create literary blogs, from any genre: testimonies, biographies, journals, visual poetry, narrative, etc.
To: high school and college students, between 12 and 25.
Call Date: July 15. Maturity-15 October.
Award Date: November 11. Librarian's Day.
Award: Category University Students U.S. $ 1.000
Award: Category High School Students, $ 500
This call is part of the Business Plan Library Cultural Center of Spain, under the recently signed cooperative agreement between CEDILI institutions - IBBY - PERU - Cultural Center of Spain, a plan that also includes the multiple activities that promote dialogue, and proposal policies around the book, animation / promotion of reading and the Public Library under the guidelines of the English Cultural Cooperation, whose key priority for this year and the promotion of reading and library development and the intercultural respect, considered keystones in all cultural project, especially in countries with multicultural population like ours.
